DONNA CROSBY SLOAN, who is fluent in Spanish, graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgia State University College of Law in 1987 after also receiving a Masters degree in Special Education. While in law school, Donna served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia State University Law Review. Further, Donna participated as a member of the Moot Court Board and received an award for Highest Honors in Litigation. Donna began her practice in 1987, focusing on general civil litigation In 1993, Donna worked at the law firm of Mcalla, Raymer, Padrick, Cobb, Nichols & Clark where she expanded her civil litigation practice to include real estate litigation, corporate and business transactions, business-related civil litigation, real estate broker representation, construction litigation, and trusts and estates. Donna became a partner of Blackburn, Walther & Sloan in 1996 where she continues her general civil litigation practice and manages the real estate practice in the Roswell office. Donna is a certified mediator for civil and domestic cases. She also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in custody cases. Donna is a contributing author of Georgia Jurisprudence , Property Law section, 1996; and has published articles in state and local bar Family Law publications. She has published articles for the State Bar Continuing Legal Education program on matters of real estate, family, ethics, litigation, and mediation. Donna is also a licensed real estate broker in Georgia.
